Who would you borrow?

March 17, 2009

I’m a bit slow on the uptake, but I thought this “Living Library” idea is at least an interesting one.  The basic idea is that people “check out” other people for a half-hour in order to break down stereotypes and hear their story.

Interested?  You may be in luck! The Bainbridge Island Library in Seattle, Washington will be hosting a Living Library April 19, 2009.  Living-library.org (under “Upcoming Events“) lists “the hunter, the military officer and the vegan” as expected “titles”–a relatively tame list of works based on some of the others listed in the Christian Science Monitor‘s article on the subject (which is where the books listed in the poll come from).

What do you think?
