Moving Update

September 9, 2010

When you really get down to it, there really just no point in looking for living room furniture outside the camping aisle.  And realistically, why would anyone waste their time with dressers when they could maintain a more fleet, agile lifestyle living out of a suitcase?

Well, hard as it may be to imagine, Kate and I are building a case any these two unassailables in the design/life-choice worlds.  That’s right folks, we’re crossing in to the dresser-ed side of life.  Not only that, we’ve also found ourselves in the market for bookshelves, a couch, a crib, a bike, a microwave and so much more!  Sure, selling most everything two years ago made the last five moves we’ve undertaken a whole lot easier, but it certainly has pitted us in a fierce struggle to make our house a home.

Nevertheless, my wife’s undauntable flair for design is, at the moment springing in to action with all kinds of purchasing, repurposing and upcycling (a word I learned Friday) to transform our present cold white walls to comforty bliss.

I’ll keep you posted as best I can, but you’d probably better keep an eye on Kate’s guilt inspiring blog (who ever really posts “enough”?) to get the real nitty-gritty details–especially if you knew the word “upcycle” before I mentioned it.
