Prayer: Scattered Basics this Sunday

December 2, 2010

This Sunday I’ll be leading REALITY’s Scattered Basics class after each service to help people further orient their lives in missional community.  We had a great time talking last month, with around half of those who participated coming out looking for a missional community to be a part of.  Exciting!

As we head in to round two, I’d like to petition you for your prayers in two directions:

  1. We have a lot of people at REALITY yet to make the transition in to living on mission in community with other believers.  Pray for the Spirit to be preparing the those who will join us Sunday for the sort of life transformation living on mission requires.
  2. Pray for more people who would be willing to learn and lead others in living in missional community.  Living on mission is new for most all of us up here and is going require accommodation from anyone looking to lead or live on mission.  What we need are people who are willing to fail, willing to bumble, and above all, willing to be led by the Spirit into a radical new way where all of life is shaped by the Gospel.

I love that just about anyone can qualify for the list of what is needed in order to live in/lead others on mission. There is great freedom in being able to bumble in our adventures in following hard after God’s plan for our lives. I will be praying for you all up north, and for fruit in this calling all around us down here as well.

  2. […] you to all who prayed for the Scattered Basics intro I told you about last week!  The training went great as the flow of the time only continues to go more smoothly […]
